About the position

The Project Services Business Development Manager at Clean Harbors is responsible for growing and maintaining a specific line of business by serving as the primary point of contact for customers interested in contracting services or products. This role involves supporting existing Account Managers or taking ownership of customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting revenue growth through effective contract management and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Promote revenue and margin growth by selling products and services to clients in a specific line of business (LOB).
  • Negotiate and draft contracts for services/products.
  • Scope and quote projects within the LOB of expertise.
  • Promote knowledge development and dissemination related to the LOB.
  • Support training of other sales personnel in their LOB of expertise.
  • Develop account plans for important customers and monitor progress in sales and P&L goals.
  • Interact with operations and customer service to deliver exceptional service to clients.
  • Handle disputes and conflicts, troubleshooting with clients as necessary.
  • Lead contract management and revenue collection from customers.
  • Document necessary customer information and interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration or a related field required.
  • Previous sales experience is required.
  • Ability to prioritize highest-opportunity accounts.
  • Numerically literate and understands industry and company dynamics.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills, with a focus on client needs.
  • Ability to leverage organizational resources effectively.
  • Proficient in relationship building and maintaining professional interactions.
  • Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy, with accountability for job responsibilities.
