About the position

The Client Account Manager (CAM) role at Jacobs focuses on developing and implementing a global growth strategy for the Data Center practice, which is recognized as a leader in data center design. This position is pivotal in enhancing client relationships, identifying business opportunities, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions in the data center sector. The CAM will engage with clients to understand their needs and facilitate the successful delivery of projects, ensuring Jacobs maintains its competitive edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and maintain relationships with all client accounts.
  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities and target clients for long-term growth.
  • Assess project and program requirements and recommend approaches to meet client needs.
  • Lead the development of Jacobs' win strategy and value proposition for key pursuits.
  • Collaborate with other Jacobs markets to pursue data center-related opportunities.
  • Build and coordinate internal and external teams for successful project delivery.
  • Lead the development of proposals and coordinate with the Capture Manager for input and fee development.
  • Facilitate contract and fee negotiations with clients, supported by operations and legal teams.
  • Represent Jacobs at industry events and conferences.
  • Manage pipeline and forecast accurately using CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Develop, update, and execute client account strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant data center or mission-critical experience with established client contacts.
  • High level of industry knowledge and technical understanding of data centers and the engineering and design process.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful sales strategies to secure new clients and grow existing accounts.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%, both domestically and internationally.
