Over the past decade, we have successfully delivered over 20 million square feet of data center white space and managed more than 6GW in power demand. In the role of Client Account Manager / Sales Leader, you will be pivotal in developing and implementing our global Data Center growth strategy. This strategy spans multiple Global Business Units and regional operations across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA. Your primary focus will be on expanding our Data Center business sector by leveraging existing client accounts and pursuing new strategic clients. You will need a deep understanding of the data center industry, including planning, design, construction, procurement, and budgeting processes. Client engagement is crucial, as you will be responsible for building relationships and understanding their data center requirements to facilitate the successful delivery of key projects and programs. As a senior sales leader, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, identifying and prioritizing business opportunities that lead to long-term growth. You will assess project requirements, develop sound approaches to meet client needs, and lead the development of Jacobs' win strategy and value proposition for key pursuits. Collaboration with other Jacobs markets and service offerings will be essential to pursue data center-related opportunities effectively. You will also manage proposal development, facilitate contract negotiations, and represent Jacobs at industry events and conferences. Accurate pipeline management and forecasting through our CRM (Salesforce) will be part of your responsibilities, along with executing client account strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the global Data Center growth strategy across multiple Global Business Units and regional operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and maintain relationships with all client accounts.
  • Identify and prioritize business opportunities and target clients for long-term growth.
  • Assess project and program requirements and recommend approaches to meet client needs.
  • Lead the development of Jacobs' win strategy and value proposition for key pursuits.
  • Collaborate with other Jacobs markets and service offerings to pursue data center-related opportunities.
  • Build and coordinate internal and external teams for successful opportunity delivery.
  • Lead proposal development and coordinate with the Capture Manager for input and fee development.
  • Utilize Jacobs' sales processes and tools effectively.
  • Facilitate contract and fee negotiations with clients, supported by operations and legal teams.
  • Represent Jacobs in external forums such as industry events and conferences.
  • Manage pipeline and provide accurate forecasting via CRM (Salesforce).
  • Develop, update, and execute client account strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Business, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant data center or mission-critical experience with existing client contacts and relationships.
  • High level of industry knowledge and technical understanding of data centers and the engineering & design process.
  • Proven track record in devising and implementing successful sales strategies to secure new clients and grow existing accounts.
  • Ability to travel 25%-50%, both domestically and internationally, in compliance with Jacobs and client travel policies.
  • International experience is a plus.
