About the position

The Hartford's Group Benefits Priority Business team is seeking a motivated Client Advisor to manage a book of business for accounts with 100-499 lives. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer service, coordinating renewals, and implementing growth strategies while promoting The Hartford's products and services. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams, ensuring a seamless experience for customers during the implementation and ongoing management of their benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Priority Account Book of Business (BOB) for 100-499 lives.
  • Serve as the contact for complex service issues and renewal coordination.
  • Develop proactive account activities and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Redirect requests to the Customer Solutions Center and delegate follow-up as needed.
  • Educate customers on Hartford tools and administrative services, providing training when appropriate.
  • Process plan changes, BOR changes, acquisitions, and other policy-level activities.
  • Coordinate renewal tracking and communication processes.
  • Partner with the Voluntary Support Team for voluntary activities.
  • Promote The Hartford's products and services.
  • Support projects as directed by the assigned Manager Customer Experience.
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory training and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Distribution Best Practices Team to implement global process solutions.
  • Manage the implementation process end-to-end upon notification of sale.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Disability and Life Group Benefit experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Group Insurance terms, provisions, and administration preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain the Group Life & Health license as a condition of employment.
  • 2-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Ability to convey The Hartford's value proposition and differentiators in the marketplace.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently.
