About the position

The Client Advocate plays a crucial role in supporting client relationships and strategies at the insurance program level, working alongside a Senior Relationship Manager on complex and middle market accounts. This position is responsible for coordinating WTW resources to meet clients' insurance and risk management needs, while also identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and retention of existing clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support assigned clients and work independently with Middle Market clients, some complex, and collaborate with a team for the most complex programs.
  • Retain existing book of business and develop client relationships.
  • Identify, engage, and integrate delivery of all WTW internal resources to enhance the client experience.
  • Provide strategic planning and consulting advice to clients, monitoring their insurance and risk management needs.
  • Recommend appropriate solutions throughout the policy term, including acquisition due diligence.
  • Build and develop market relationships in collaboration with broking and sales teams.
  • Maximize the profitability of client accounts and drive retention of business.
  • Collaborate with producers to expand existing client relationships and participate in new business prospecting.
  • Engage with sales and broking to understand marketplace changes.
  • Design, prepare, negotiate, and deliver fee/compensation agreements to clients.
  • Drive the RFP response process, including review and coordination of line of business groups.
  • Design and deliver full client presentations, advocacy reports, and service plans.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policy requirements (legal, regulatory & compliance).
  • Drive the renewal process to establish and implement client-specific renewal strategies.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of commercial Property & Casualty insurance knowledge/experience in a client-facing role.
  • Must maintain required licensing by completing various continuing education activities.
  • Ability to analyze program design and identify coverage gaps.
  • Strong negotiation skills to drive conflict resolution and secure concessions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills to leverage internal and external relationships.
  • Business acumen with knowledge of strategy, tactics, and solutions for clients.
  • Knowledge of the commercial insurance renewal process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including group presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with high adaptability.
  • Excellent project management skills for overseeing large, complex projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with relevant online tools.
  • Insurance broker's P&C license required.
