About the position

The Client CIO is responsible for overseeing all CIO-level IT functions for one or more clients, ensuring that IT service delivery aligns with client strategies and goals. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of IT management and commercial real estate processes, as well as the ability to lead and collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes in IT operations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Client Leadership to develop and implement IT strategies and roadmaps to support the Client's business objectives.
  • Lead the Client IT department, providing guidance and direction to IT internal and external staff.
  • Create Client IT budgets based on client needs and stated goals, ensuring adherence to approved budgets.
  • Implement and maintain security programs and protocols to protect the Client's data and systems.
  • Manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and provide guidance on vendor selection and evaluation.
  • Ensure appropriate policies, procedures, and standards are in place to promote efficient and secure operations.
  • Oversee the activities of Client, 5Q, and other vendor staff to ensure smooth delivery of all IT operations and projects.
  • Meet with client leadership to review roadmap status, verify priorities, and present topics needing executive decisions.
  • Ensure delivery of leadership services adheres to standards established by the 5Q LeadRE team.
  • Evaluate the efficiency of business processes according to client objectives and ensure necessary improvements are applied.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in technology and information management, preferably within a managed services or consulting environment.
  • Knowledgeable in IT leadership topics including strategy, budgeting, project portfolio management, and vendor management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in commercial real estate business processes, applications, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and management skills to inspire and empower a high-performing team.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective technology strategies that align with business goals.
  • Extensive knowledge in technology domains such as infrastructure, applications, data, security, and cloud services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders.
