About the position

The Client Insurance Benefits Coordinator at Revive Ministries, Inc. is responsible for prescreening clients for Medicaid eligibility and providing comprehensive support throughout the benefits application process. This role emphasizes positive client interactions, effective communication, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure clients receive the necessary assistance with their insurance needs.

Responsibilities

• Prescreen individuals for Medicaid eligibility for all Revive Ministries facilities.
• Educate clients and assist with Medicaid re-determinations when requested.
• Assist clients with updating their insurance plans after life-changing events.
• Provide application assistance and support at partner sites.
• Follow up with clients who have submitted applications.
• Advocate for client benefit eligibility and maintain quality programming.
• Train and back up the SNAP Benefit Coordinator as needed.
• Process all SNAP Claims and Appeals.
• Conduct regular audits of SNAP transactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and program fidelity.
• Keep accurate reports and data as required.
• Reorganize client files/file room as necessary.
• Attend training sessions and participate in agency and department meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, procedures, and regulations in Kentucky.
• Experience working with diverse, multi-cultural, and low-income populations.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands and deadlines.
• Attention to detail and flexibility in personal style.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively with staff, volunteers, donors, and clients.
• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
