About the position

As a key member of Ford Motor Company's Enterprise Technology group, this position involves leading the engineering, implementation, and ongoing support of Ford's client management infrastructure. The role focuses on managing SCCM operations, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring project objectives are met on time. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced technology to enhance customer experiences and contribute to the future of mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all SCCM Ops-related work/projects, including SCCM, SQL, CMG, TLS upgrades and quarterly patching of servers.
  • Engage with projects related to Ford's Modern Desktop initiative (e.g. SCCM Co-Management).
  • Setup, configure and troubleshoot SCCM Site Servers such as Distribution Points, Management Points, Software Update Points, etc.
  • Configure, analyze and respond to/resolve system outages and performance degradation using Dynatrace and SCOM monitoring tools.
  • Lead troubleshooting conversations and manage open cases with Microsoft.
  • Document & update project plans using the team's Rally board; identify and document risks/issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage service components throughout their lifecycle.
  • Create product roadmaps and maintain technology component records for applications and infrastructure.
  • Partner with engineers to complete required security assessments and documentation for products in the Client Management portfolio.
  • Lead knowledge management efforts for products in the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a SCCM Administrator managing a large-scale/global SCCM server-based infrastructure supporting over 10k Windows-based PCs/Laptops.
  • SCCM Cloud Management Gateway installation and maintenance experience.
  • SCCM Application Model Packaging experience.
  • Strong Project Management, team leadership, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Programming or scripting experience (VBScript, PowerShell).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory and SQL Server.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows Server OS.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • PC/Laptop-based technical support expertise with Windows 10.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills.
  • Customer-focused mentality.

Nice-to-haves

  • PC/Laptop-based technical support expertise with Windows 11.
  • Experience using Rally.
  • Working knowledge of Canonical Landscape and/or JAMF.
  • SharePoint Administrator experience.
  • Experience writing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
