About the position

As a Client Manager at Optiv, you will be responsible for selling security services and technology solutions to a select group of strategic accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle, coordinating with a cross-functional team, and focusing on enhancing client satisfaction through regular engagement and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Optiv security services and technology solutions to strategic accounts.
  • Own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within assigned accounts.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan.
  • Engage clients to understand and document their business, technology, and security goals.
  • Review client goals and progress quarterly, ensuring alignment with Optiv's resources.
  • Build trusted relationships with client executives and technology partners.
  • Create a large sales pipeline and achieve assigned gross margin targets.
  • Manage forecasts with accuracy and integrity.
  • Communicate Optiv's value proposition effectively.
  • Initiate and monitor communications between clients, technology partners, and the Optiv team.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in product or services-based sales, ideally in a technology company.
  • Proven ability to build and execute territory and account prospecting plans.
  • Experience engaging cross-functional resources effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive business relationships with key executives.
  • Effective presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation experience.
  • History of exceeding sales plans and expectations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in cybersecurity sales or related fields.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC and Command of the Message.
