About the position

The Client Onboarding Specialist at The Boon Group is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring that their business needs are understood and met. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including clients, brokers, and internal departments, to facilitate a smooth implementation of services. The specialist will track project timelines, document processes, and communicate effectively to ensure successful onboarding of newly sold cases.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for new clients during the implementation phase.
  • Ensure project timeline is adhered to and deliverables are met on schedule.
  • Set and reset expectations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and host internal and external conference calls with clients, brokers, and vendors.
  • Establish and document client's business rules in support of client's business objectives.
  • Facilitate the set-up of new clients with various vendors and internally in Boon's proprietary systems.
  • Track tasks, identify opportunities, anticipate potential obstacles, and find solutions.
  • Formulate and communicate a plan of action and resolution for all escalated deliverables.
  • Support and collaborate with Sales and Client Relations Departments, including occasional travel.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to comply with applicable data privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in benefits administration or employee benefits experience, preferred.
  • High School Diploma, required.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Previous experience in project management, preferred.
  • Service-oriented individual with strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and varying deliverables.
  • Ability to explain and understand complex business concepts.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Resourceful can-do attitude with creative problem-solving ability.
  • Consultative approach with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate experience in the use of Microsoft Excel; CRM Software such as Salesforce is a plus.
  • General knowledge of employee benefit plans.
