About The Position
The Client Paralegal Aide position at CorVel Corporation is designed to support the defense of personal injury matters through various stages of legal proceedings. This role is dedicated to the CorVel and New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority contract, ensuring that all paralegal tasks are performed under supervision to meet departmental needs. The position involves a variety of essential functions, including the preparation of investigative reports and handling requests for investigation and discovery. The paralegal aide will also be responsible for responding to court orders, preparing expert exchanges and trial subpoenas, and conducting legal research. Additionally, the role requires coordination of scheduling witnesses for depositions and trials, as well as aiding in the management of cases throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. A minimum of two years of law firm experience is required, with paralegal experience being essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in torts and those who have completed a paralegal course of study in a program approved by the American Bar Association.
