The Client Performance / Data Analyst position is designed for individuals who are passionate about data analysis and its application in the automotive sector. This role involves deep analysis of complex datasets to derive meaningful insights, requiring advanced Excel skills and critical thinking abilities. The successful candidate will develop and provide data assessment, management, and reporting solutions to support peers and partners in the analysis and resolution of business questions. This position is hybrid, allowing for remote work flexibility with the expectation of being in the office 1-2 times a week, and candidates should reside in the Phoenix market. The Data Analyst will work internally and across departments on roadmap construction and reporting, supporting organizational efforts to solve problems and inform decision-making through innovation, collaboration, and technical expertise. The role requires gaining familiarity with Data Analysis concepts, practices, and methodologies, and performing specific analytical duties such as analyzing business data, assessing trends, and identifying variances from goals. The analyst will maintain databases, cleanse and validate data, develop and track key performance metrics against the company's business objectives, and produce standard and periodic reports with minimal variance, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports. Additionally, the analyst will provide business insights into carrier behaviors, market trends, and industry news, proactively looking for opportunities to drive additional savings outside of pre-determined sourcing areas. Establishing a cadence of communication with the team to ensure carrier expectations and performance metrics are clear and aligned is also a key responsibility. The role requires demonstrating business expertise and analytical skills necessary for managing key performance indicators, goals, objectives, and profitability goals, as well as assisting with special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business data, assess trends, and identify and explain variance from goals.
  • Maintain databases, cleanse and validate data.
  • Develop and track key performance metrics against the company's business objectives.
  • Produce standard and periodic reports with minimal variance, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports.
  • Develop analyses and publish well-developed and accessible interfaces.
  • Provide business insights to carrier behaviors, market trends, and industry news and how they impact the carrier strategy.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to drive additional savings outside of pre-determined sourcing areas.
  • Establish a cadence of communication and touch points with the team to ensure carrier expectations and performance metrics are clear and aligned across all team members.
  • Demonstrate business expertise and analytical skills required for managing key performance indicators, goals, objectives, and profitability goals.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years of experience in a related field, or a High School Diploma and 4 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of the auto transport industry, carrier types, truck types, and capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Good judgment, discretion, tact, and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Adapting approach and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and other business applications.
