The Client Portfolio Manager at Janus Henderson is responsible for overseeing the fixed income franchise, focusing on areas such as securitized assets, multi-sector portfolios, and private debt.   • Cover Janus Henderson's fixed income franchise with a focus on growing areas of the business.
  • Drive the commercial success of covered products through business plan ownership and implementation.
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Fixed Income CPMs to develop and communicate business plan goals to stakeholders.
  • Represent and advocate for Portfolio Managers within the organization and with external clients.
  • Participate in regular investment discussions with portfolio managers and analysts.
  • Engage with Portfolio Managers to ensure investment strategy aligns with client expectations.
  • Drive distribution strategy to support new business and asset retention efforts with key accounts.
  • Provide investment voice in product messaging, marketing strategy, and collateral material development.
  • Represent Janus Henderson across the industry at client conferences and investment panels.
  • Engage with product development on future strategy, including competitor analysis and positioning.
  • Assist in client prospecting across all geographies and distribution channels.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
  • Experience as an analyst, portfolio manager, trader, or client portfolio manager in the securitized or structured credit markets.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen to develop clear objectives backed by data.
  • Excellent client skills for writing, reporting, and presenting to various audiences.
  • Deep investment knowledge of specific products or assets, including macro environment impacts.
  • Ability to extract and analyze performance and attribution data for business decisions.
  • Strong partnership skills to coordinate activities between various teams and build trust.
  • Agility to respond effectively to changing environments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Teamwork skills to work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • MBA, advanced degree or CFA Charter Holder preferred.
  • Experience with presentation development and delivery.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in data gathering and interpretation from institutional sources.
