About the position

The Client Relations and Acquisition Specialist at Amegy Bank is responsible for expanding the client base through outbound sales and service calls, while also providing support to existing clients. This role focuses on customer retention, cross-selling bank products, and ensuring compliance with operational procedures. The position is integral to the Retail Banking Administration team in Houston, TX, and emphasizes the importance of customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outbound sales and service calls to prospective and existing bank clients.
  • Expand client base by sourcing new relationships and cross-selling bank products and services.
  • Handle customer inquiries and problems as needed.
  • Assist clients with product offerings, selection, loan application processes, and opening accounts.
  • Generate qualified referrals while following operational procedures and adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Provide support to business unit personnel as needed.
  • Assist with department projects and tasks as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years experience in inside sales, branch banking, customer service, or other directly related experience.
  • Working knowledge of sales, customer service, retention skills, and banking products and services.
  • Good customer service, problem resolution, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to use a variety of computer software.
  • Ability to cross-sell bank products.
  • Requires initiative and ability to recognize opportunities.
