About the position

The Client Relations / Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with clients in the residential construction sector. This role focuses on ensuring client satisfaction, developing sales strategies, and collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs. The position requires a proactive approach to client management and involves attending industry events to generate leads and represent the company.

Responsibilities

  • Building Client Relationships: Establish, develop, and nurture long-term relationships with clients.
  • Ensuring Client Satisfaction: Work to ensure clients are happy with the company's services and manage client expectations.
  • Addressing Concerns: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Creating Sales Strategies: Develop sales plans and strategies to generate revenue.
  • Researching Competitors: Learn about competitors to stay ahead and recruit new customers.
  • Collaborating with Other Departments: Work with internal teams to ensure client needs and satisfaction are met.
  • Reports: Prepare business development activities, progress, and results, presenting findings to senior management.
  • Industry Events / Client Visits: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company, build connections, and generate leads.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in Business to Business Development in Residential and/or Home Builders.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to assess markets, clients' needs, and competitors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to clients and executives effectively.
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field.
