About the position

The Client Relations Manager at Northwestern Mutual is responsible for leading the Client Relations Center (CRC) within the Raleigh Network Office. This role focuses on ensuring the financial security needs of an unassigned client base are met by coaching and supporting a team of financial representatives. The position involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and client management to drive revenue and enhance customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a CRC business strategy that aligns with the network office vision.
  • Create an annual CRC plan to execute the strategy.
  • Drive revenue and manage expenses for the CRC.
  • Define and execute the marketing strategy for the CRC.
  • Develop a customer service model for unassigned clients in partnership with the Supervision Team.
  • Oversee the activity of the financial representatives on the CRC team.
  • Set and communicate annual expectations for the CRC team.
  • Determine criteria for participation on the team and set yearly CRC goals.
  • Conduct monthly accountability meetings with financial representatives.
  • Communicate goals and accomplishments to network office and district leadership.
  • Track production and activities related to sales and client management.
  • Maintain unassigned client data and support client transitions.
  • Handle incoming service requests related to Northwestern Mutual products.
  • Proactively reconnect with unassigned clients and identify clients for financial representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Series 7 license preferred; willing to pass Life and Health Exams within 3 months of hire and Series exams within 12 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 2 years Northwestern Mutual experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
