About the position

The Client Relations Specialist - Bookkeeping role at Guidant Financial is a fully remote position focused on supporting the Bookkeeping and Tax Services department. This position involves managing client communications, addressing technical accounting inquiries, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to a diverse portfolio of clients. The specialist will play a key role in enhancing client relationships and contributing to the overall success of small business owners by providing tailored support and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead communication process with clients, addressing technical accounting, product, pricing, and process questions.
  • Manage and prevent client escalations using customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Guide clients through product changes and follow up on resolutions.
  • Prepare and explain add-on billing charges to clients.
  • Process client terminations efficiently.
  • Deliver high-quality bookkeeping and tax services to a portfolio of clients across various industries.
  • Understand client business models to provide appropriate support and advice.
  • Advise on client communication and best practices.
  • Support maintenance, onboarding, and tax teams as needed.
  • Contribute to department and team projects and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent experience required.
  • Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) highly desired, certification preferred.
  • 3 years of progressive bookkeeping experience in a multi-client environment.
  • 3 years of client servicing experience handling tasks of various complexity for small business owners.
  • Understanding of small business accounting and tax services.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read the audience effectively.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Skills in problem solving, process improvement, critical thinking, and prioritization.
  • Ability to work autonomously as a self-directed, independent worker.
