About the position

ABC Imaging is seeking an on-site Client Relations Specialist/Manager for our New York location. This role is pivotal in providing exemplary service to our clients' creative teams, ensuring that their needs and expectations are met with precision and professionalism. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in the printing industry, particularly with expertise in color digital printing and assembly. This position requires a proactive approach to managing both administrative and production responsibilities, particularly in time-sensitive project environments. In this role, you will work directly with both technical and creative staff, facilitating clear communication to ensure that all project requirements are understood and executed effectively. You will also be responsible for performing supplemental digital graphic or print design services, which include proofing client artwork, editing files to make them print-ready, and arranging press checks, mock-ups, and revisions based on client feedback. Maintaining workflow scheduling and project management is crucial to ensure that deadlines are met and that all projects are completed within budget and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will manage day-to-day administrative tasks, which include inventory management, supply ordering, maintaining service on small format printers, print finishing, and overseeing large format plotters. You will also be responsible for setting up conference rooms and providing meeting support, ensuring that all aspects of client relations are handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with technical and creative staff to ensure proper communication and understanding of their needs and expectations.
  • Perform supplemental digital graphic or print design services such as proofing client artwork and editing client files to make them print-ready.
  • Arrange and produce press checks, mock-ups, revisions, and edits based on client feedback.
  • Maintain workflow scheduling and project management to ensure deadlines are met and all projects are completed within budget.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative responsibilities including inventory, supply ordering, and maintaining service on small format printers.
  • Oversee print finishing and large format plotters, ensuring all equipment is operational.
  • Set up conference rooms and provide meeting support.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the printing industry.
  • Expertise in color digital printing and assembly.
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Working knowledge of equipment and production materials.
  • Working knowledge of bindery processes.
  • Superior customer service skills and experience working with customers both over the phone and in person.
  • Ability to communicate knowledgeably about department capabilities and the company to potential and existing clients.
  • Highly developed organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining focus.
  • Effective communication skills for delegating work and explaining procedures.
