About the position

The Client Relationship Consultant 2 (Banker) at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person and virtual interactions. The role focuses on understanding and addressing customers' banking needs, providing guidance on available products and services, and ensuring an optimal client experience. This position requires a proactive approach to client engagement and a strong understanding of both consumer and business banking products.

Responsibilities

• Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
• Engage with customers via multiple channels to assess their banking needs.
• Obtain and process customer and account information accurately.
• Demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services.
• Recommend solutions based on each customer's unique goals and needs.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and complete service requests.
• Proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services.
• Collaborate with branch team members to best serve clients.
• Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically has a minimum of three to four years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
• Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
• Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
• Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs both reactively and proactively.
