About the position

The Client Relationship Consultant at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person and virtual interactions. This role focuses on understanding and addressing customers' banking needs, providing tailored financial solutions, and promoting digital banking products. The consultant plays a key role in enhancing the client experience by proactively engaging with clients and collaborating with branch team members to ensure optimal service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Engage and communicate effectively with clients to assess their banking needs.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing basic transactions.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.
  • Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services.
  • Leverage available resources and technologies to optimize the client experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has a minimum of three to four years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish encouraged to apply.
