About the position

The Client Relationship Consultant at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person, virtual, and by appointment. This role focuses on understanding and addressing customers' banking needs, providing tailored financial advice, and promoting the bank's products and services. The consultant is expected to leverage a digital-first mindset to enhance customer engagement and ensure a consistent, optimal client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Engage with customers to assess their banking needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services, including digital offerings.
  • Provide a consistent optimal client experience, including greeting clients and processing transactions.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts and complete service requests.
  • Educate clients on emerging digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Collaborate with branch team members to best serve clients.
  • Process customer and account information accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three to four years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.

  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to explore and identify a customer's true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer's needs.
