About the position

The Client Relationship Consultant 3 (Banker) at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person and virtual interactions. This role focuses on understanding and addressing customers' banking needs, providing tailored financial advice, and promoting bank products and services. The consultant will engage in proactive outreach, educate clients on digital banking solutions, and collaborate with branch team members to enhance the overall client experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Engage with customers via multiple channels to assess their banking needs.
  • Process customer and account information accurately and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate and educate clients on available deposit and loan products and services.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts and complete service requests.
  • Proactively educate clients on emerging digital products and services.
  • Leverage resources and technologies to optimize the client experience.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Typically has a minimum of four to five years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures, and support systems.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers' needs.
