About the position

The Client Relationship Consultant at U.S. Bank is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers through various channels, including in-person, virtual, and by appointment. This role focuses on understanding and addressing customers' banking needs, providing tailored advice on deposit and loan products, and ensuring an optimal client experience. The consultant will engage in proactive outreach, educate clients on digital banking solutions, and collaborate with branch team members to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow-up.
  • Engage with customers via multiple channels to assess their banking needs.
  • Provide counsel on available deposit and loan products and services.
  • Open new consumer and business accounts and complete service requests.
  • Educate clients on emerging digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and services.
  • Process basic transactions and ensure a consistent optimal client experience.
  • Collaborate with branch team members to best serve clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum four to five years of job-related retail banking experience or a combination of experience and training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients.
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies and procedures.
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies.
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations.
