About the position
The Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) at First Merchants Bank is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service by efficiently handling banking transactions and providing tailored product recommendations to meet customers' financial needs. This role emphasizes building customer loyalty, contributing to banking center operations, and actively participating in a sales-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer requests for banking transactions and inquiries.
- Build customer loyalty and advocate for customer needs.
- Balance cash, daily transactions, vault, and ATM as part of banking center operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
- Follow information security policies to protect customer privacy.
- Assist with the opening and closing of the banking center.
- Sell bank products and make customer referrals to support sales goals.
- Participate in daily/weekly meetings and coaching sessions to enhance sales skills.
- Train, coach, and guide staff in operational and sales skills.
- Lead sales and service activities at the Banking Center.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience selling products or services.
- Minimum of 1 year of sales, banking, and/or related experience.
- S.A.F.E. Act Registration through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 3 months of hire.
- Obtain Notary Public designation within 12 months of employment.
Nice-to-haves
