About the position

The Client Service Associate position at Coldstream Wealth Management offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in financial services. This role involves learning the Registered Investment Advisor industry while providing exceptional service to clients. The position is based in a flexible hybrid work environment, allowing for a mix of in-office and remote work, and is part of a supportive team dedicated to building long-term relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a liaison between clients and custodians/investment managers, managing client information and handling cashiering and money movement requests.
  • Scheduling and organizing client meetings and proactively preparing meeting materials.
  • Coordinating the new client onboarding process, including opening brokerage accounts and establishing cashiering needs.
  • Updating cost basis, tracking required minimum distributions, and reconciling account information.
  • Sending and receiving documents to clients, their advisors, and investment custodians.
  • Entering and maintaining client data and activity notes in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience and a desire to provide superior client service in a team-oriented environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or a related field.
  • Interest in building a career in the wealth management industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing business correspondence with proper grammar and punctuation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow established processes consistently.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Excellent reliability, with the team's hours being 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and/or Tamarac portfolio accounting (or similar systems).
