About the position

The Client Service Coordinator at Northwest Bank of Rockford plays a crucial role in supporting Commercial Bankers and serving as the primary service representative for Commercial Banking Clients. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial banking products and services, ensuring professional communication and effective resolution of client requests. The Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day servicing, assisting in loan closings, coordinating overdraft decisions, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Understand Commercial banking products and services to converse knowledgeably with clients and prospects.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients through written, telephone, and in-person contacts, resolving requests proactively.
  • Serve as the main point of service for Commercial Banking Clients, providing day-to-day servicing across all product lines.
  • Assist in the loan closing process, including pre-closing due diligence and document accuracy review.
  • Coordinate overdraft decisions and contact customers regarding overdrawn accounts each morning.
  • Review and follow up on clients' past due loan accounts.
  • Work with Operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of client accounts and requests.
  • Handle payments and advances for customers via in-person, fax, and phone.
  • Ensure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti Money Laundering.
  • Participate in community activities to enhance bank visibility and undertake special projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a commercial banking client services role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Jack Henry software.
  • Knowledge of loan documentation processes and treasury management concepts.
