About the position

The Client Service Coordinator (CSC) plays a crucial role in managing the flow of clients and pets through the veterinary hospital, ensuring efficient operations and exceptional client service. This position is responsible for maximizing the productivity of the veterinary medical team while fostering a welcoming and friendly environment for clients and their pets. The CSC actively recruits new clients, educates them about services, and coordinates care to encourage repeat visits and referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
  • Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and routing the flow of clients and pets.
  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the hospital team through efficient operations.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients with documentation and pet information entry.
  • Assist outgoing clients with instructions, information, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following proper procedures.
  • Conduct administrative functions as necessary.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old for duties involving radiography and exposure to radioactive substances.
  • One year related experience required, with customer service preferred.
  • Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training is preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks under distracting conditions.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated organizational ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Client service skills to ensure attentive and courteous service.
  • Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations and conversions.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a veterinary or medical setting.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures.
