About the position

The Client Service Leader for USACE Military & Civil Works at CDM Smith is a pivotal role focused on expanding the firm's Architect-Engineer-Construction (AEC) portfolio with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. This position involves leading business development efforts, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that address military and civil infrastructure needs. The role requires strategic planning, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a strong understanding of federal programs and construction services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand the AEC portfolio with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
  • Develop business plans to address USACE's facilities and infrastructure challenges.
  • Capture new contracts and task orders, overseeing proposal development.
  • Maintain client communications throughout project delivery.
  • Serve as the client-facing representative for USACE military programs and civil works initiatives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with high priority USACE divisions and districts.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement innovative digital solutions.
  • Lead strategic business development efforts including presentations and webinars.
  • Manage proposal efforts as a capture manager, coordinating with technical experts and marketing professionals.
  • Coordinate with USACE Program and Project Managers to ensure client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 15 years of related experience.
  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working for USACE or as a consultant to USACE.
  • Experience with OCONUS federal programs/projects.
  • Experience with federal construction programs/projects.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a plus.
