About the position

VCA Great Lakes Veterinary Specialists is a busy, state of the art, dog and cat emergency and specialty hospital located in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. We are seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. We are hiring evening and weekend shifts at this time and will consider full- or part-time applicants. We are hoping to find a 'client service extraordinaire' to join our team. The ideal candidate will be highly professional and demonstrate strong people skills. They will believe in working as a team and will thrive in a collaborative environment. They must be empathetic, and service minded. They must possess a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease while creating a welcoming environment. We pride ourselves in having a team that can listen to and speak with clients like they would a valued friend, enabling us to ensure that all our clients feel welcomed, appreciated and receive the best possible client service. As a client service representative in our hospital, you will be the first point of contact and will serve as a vital link in communication between our clients and our medical staff. Responsibilities

  • Ability to answer a multiline phone system
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Aiding with admitting and discharging pet patients
  • Invoicing/billing and processing payments
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make suggestions
  • Willingness to learn more regarding the customer experience
  • Willingness to learn more about medical office procedures and veterinary services offered
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
  • Ability to make outgoing phone calls and ensuring accurate communication between medical staff and clients
  • Ability to make outgoing phone calls to reach out to prospective clients
  • Hospital lobby maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that the facility is always neat and clean-both inside and outside
