About the position

The Client Services Coordinator at Veterinary Surgery Center of Sarasota plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for clients and their pets. This position requires a compassionate and organized individual who can effectively manage client interactions, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a welcoming environment. The Coordinator will be responsible for various administrative tasks, including scheduling, communication, and client education, while demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Answer incoming calls to the clinic and greet callers professionally; route calls to necessary individuals if unable to assist.
  • Handle all scheduling needs for referring clinics and clients.
  • Prepare all forms, consents, or paperwork for client and patient arrival.
  • Greet clients and patients by name at all times; obtain pertinent information from visitors and notify appropriate individuals of their arrival.
  • Guide clients and patients during the check-in/check-out process, including handling all financial transactions.
  • Clean, maintain, and organize the reception space, hospitality alcove, and exam rooms.
  • Place follow-up calls to clients regarding their pet's post-procedural recovery and answer any questions.
  • Provide knowledgeable instruction concerning the care and treatment of patients; educate clients on services at VSC.
  • Record all client communications in the hospital digital records system.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role; experience in a veterinary setting is desired.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment.
  • Sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a veterinary setting is preferred.
