About the position

The Client Services Specialist role at Labor On Demand involves performing clerical work related to housing applications, rent collection, and tenant re-certification for public housing developments. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with housing policies and maintaining accurate records of tenant interactions and financial transactions. The role requires regular attendance and presence in the workplace, with a focus on customer service and administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screening, intake, and move-in of applicants according to the Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy.
  • Collect and deposit funds owed by residents.
  • Ensure timely input of rent payments and other charges into the computer system, maintaining records of collections and preparing reports.
  • Maintain and monitor the delinquent rent roll.
  • Complete and track re-certifications for residents at assigned developments.
  • Enter accurate data into Elite software and generate statistical and narrative reports for property management.
  • Conduct interviews with residents and process changes in income.
  • Issue lease violations and monitor curb appeal for assigned developments.
  • Conduct move-in, move-out, and housekeeping inspections of units.
  • Facilitate resident meetings and ensure daily time entry.
  • Prepare Reasonable Accommodations for approval or denial.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; two years of experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Two years of experience in case management, client services, or social work.
  • One year of experience in apartment leasing or case management.
  • Ability to learn and use cloud applications such as Google GSuite (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Successful completion of a criminal history background check, education, and work history verification, and drug screening test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Public Housing Specialist Certification (to be completed within 18 months of employment).
