About the position

The Client Success Payroll Specialist at Whirks of Memphis, TN, is responsible for overseeing client accounts, processing payroll data, and serving as the primary contact for clients' payroll and software inquiries. This role emphasizes building long-lasting relationships with clients while ensuring accurate payroll processing and providing exceptional customer service. The position offers an opportunity to learn about human resources, payroll, and tax services in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee client accounts and input payroll data accurately.
  • Cut payroll checks and generate payroll reports for clients.
  • Respond to customer calls and emails within two hours, resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor and validate payroll runs, addressing any highlighted concerns.
  • Communicate payroll status quickly and accurately to clients and internally.
  • Print, seal, and sort checks for timely delivery.
  • Encourage long-lasting relationships with clients through excellent service.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to assist clients with additional training and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in customer service or tech support.
  • Must be extremely tech-savvy and able to learn new technology easily.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Exceptional attitude and ability to work effectively in a client-focused environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under deadlines.
  • Desire to learn and grow in payroll, HR, and benefits skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry-specific payroll experience is preferred but not required.
