About the position

The Climate and Energy Project Manager will oversee project management functions within the renewable energy strategy team. This role involves managing team agendas, developing project workplans, conducting research, and leading grant and contract management activities. The manager will ensure successful project delivery by assessing project scope, managing budgets, and tracking progress while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team agendas and organize speakers for project meetings.
  • Develop and manage project workplans and budgets in collaboration with team leads.
  • Conduct research and outreach to support program reporting and tracking.
  • Lead grant and contract management activities.
  • Monitor and measure project progress, conducting corrective actions as necessary.
  • Communicate project status information to all stakeholders.
  • Track, maintain, and report on key data and trends related to the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
  • 2 years of project management experience or 1 year acting as a project lead.
  • Completed coursework or training on project management principles.
  • Experience managing complex or multiple projects, including finances and coordination of work.
  • Experience managing project teams and working with cross-functional staff.
  • Proficiency in common software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting guidelines and analyzing data.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience using project management tools and technologies, specifically Smartsheet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Relevant experience with NGOs or organizations in project management.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technology deployment and climate trends.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $98,000 per year.
  • Full-time position with 40 hours per week.
  • Day shift work hours.
