About the position

The Clinical Resource Nurse plays a vital role in enhancing patient care and outcomes within the Infusion Center. This position requires advanced clinical knowledge and skills, focusing on evidence-based practices, mentoring, and collaboration with nursing staff. The nurse will work closely with the Director to ensure operational readiness and provide direct nursing care, while also facilitating communication and serving as a mentor and role model for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical support to improve patient care and outcomes in the Infusion Center.
  • Mentor and educate Infusion Center staff, including conducting skills labs and providing resources.
  • Partner with the Director to ensure operational readiness of the Department.
  • Participate in care planning and delivery utilizing the nursing process.
  • Facilitate communication between the Department and other areas.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing school.
  • Minimum two years of experience in Infusion/Out-Patient Nursing with demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
  • BLS healthcare provider certification required.
  • ACLS certification achieved within 6 months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Chemotherapy Infusion experience.
  • PICC line placement experience.
  • Previous Charge Nurse experience.
  • Chemotherapy Certification.
