This entry to mid-level practice management position encompasses a minimum to moderate level of complexity, with the practice scope being minimal to moderate in terms of the number of providers, staff, and potential revenue, possibly spanning two or more locations. The administrator will be responsible for analyzing processes and creating deliverables that provide information and recommendations for improvements. This includes breaking down problems into sub-components and assessing the costs, benefits, and risks of various options to select and recommend the best solutions based on thorough examination. Effective communication is essential in this role, as the administrator will share and receive information using clear oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. They will demonstrate effective written and oral communication, actively listen, provide constructive feedback, and tailor communications to diverse audiences. The role also emphasizes quality improvement, where the administrator will be involved in the unit's annual and periodic assessment efforts, striving to improve quality services and processes by identifying inefficiencies and redundancies. Customer service is a key focus, as the administrator will build relationships and maintain strategic partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders, adjusting service delivery to meet diverse customer needs. Financial management is another critical aspect, where the administrator will manage tasks and resources within the department to achieve quality and meet budget requirements, ensuring effective and efficient use of financial and material resources. The incumbent may also be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from an accredited program preferred.
  • 3 years of relevant experience required.
  • Management experience in an Ambulatory Environment preferred.
  • Registered Nurse with a current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia preferred.
  • Understanding of current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and governing standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with information systems and software used in area of responsibility.
  • Skills in interviewing and selection process.
  • Understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll, and purchasing processes.
  • Ability to implement competency, feedback, development, and progressive discipline processes.
  • Teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Decision making, project leadership, consultation, delegation, and communication skills.
