About the position

The Clinic Director at Ellie Mental Health-Tomball is responsible for overseeing the overall performance and operation of the clinic, which includes managing a team of 10-15 outpatient therapists. This role emphasizes improving access to quality mental health care while fostering a supportive environment for clinicians. The Clinic Director will be involved in hiring, training, and managing staff, ensuring clinical excellence, and maintaining a reasonable client caseload. The position is designed for a leader who shares the vision of destigmatizing mental health and is committed to community engagement and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hiring process for all therapists at the clinic.
  • Provide training for new hires on clinical and operational policies.
  • Assess ongoing development and training needs for staff.
  • Manage staff performance and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Provide clinical oversight and consultation to therapy staff.
  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses and create treatment plans for clients.
  • Maintain a caseload of 10-15 clients per week.
  • Collaborate with franchise owner and corporate staff for clinic efficiency.
  • Monitor clinic schedules and supplies, responding to client and clinician concerns.
  • Lead community outreach and marketing efforts for the clinic.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher in a mental health discipline.
  • Independently licensed with a Texas-issued clinical practice license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of state requirements regulating mental health practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of human resource principles and practices.
  • Excellent time management skills.

  • Experience with Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.
