About the position
The Clinic RN position at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health involves providing professional nursing services in a clinic setting, focusing on quality patient care. The role requires direct patient care, including assessment, coordination, triage, and education, while adhering to the standards and values of CHI Franciscan Health. The RN will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and will be responsible for various clinical procedures and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients.
- Perform diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures within the scope of licensure.
- Independently triage nursing situations according to standing orders/protocols.
- Administer patient medications per written provider order and track medication usage.
- Assist with point of care testing and lab tests following established protocols.
- Document procedures and interactions in the patient's electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients for practitioner visits, including obtaining vital signs and relevant information.
- Organize exam rooms, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in communication and care provision.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
- One year RN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care RN work experience preferred.
