About the position

The Clinic LPN position at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health involves providing quality practical nursing care to patients in a busy women's health clinic. The role is focused on assisting healthcare providers during patient visits, performing routine nursing tasks, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for practitioner visits by obtaining and recording vital signs and other relevant information.
• Assist providers with patient care, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures within the scope of LPN licensure.
• Document procedures and interactions in the patient's medical record according to established procedures.
• Administer medications as per provider orders and track medication usage according to policies.
• Organize and maintain exam rooms, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in communication with diverse patient populations.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
• One year of LPN work experience in a clinic setting or two years of acute care LPN work experience preferred.
