About the position

The Clinic Manager at Keck Medicine of USC is responsible for overseeing the quality of patient care, operational efficiency, and human resources management within assigned areas, specifically focusing on the Kidney Transplant Program and other transplant services. This role emphasizes achieving optimal patient experiences while adhering to professional standards and hospital policies. The Clinic Manager will lead clinical operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive business development initiatives to enhance revenue and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Hold 24-hour accountability for patient care quality and operational efficiency.
  • Supervise clinical team and front-line staff, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Manage clinical operations of the Kidney Transplant Program under the direction of the Transplant Director and Administrator.
  • Oversee pre and post-transplant patient management and clinical staff responsibilities.
  • Direct nursing practice, education, and services within the transplant program.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards regarding patient care.
  • Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures for the department.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Attend outreach events to drive revenue and patient satisfaction.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide guidance and feedback.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant Program or Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • 2 years of experience in managing clinical operations in a healthcare setting.
  • 1 year of experience in Kidney Transplant management.
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to motivate staff.
  • Strong decision-making skills and high frustration tolerance.
  • Experience in process improvement and progressive leadership in a Transplant Program.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience in an acute or ambulatory setting.
  • Experience managing a multi-specialty clinic.
  • Nurse Practitioner license in lieu of Physician Assistant.
  • Certified Clinical Transplant Coordinator (CCTC) certification.
