About the position

The Clinic Nurse position at Flourish Wellness + Birth Co. is a full-time role focused on providing comprehensive nursing care in a functional wellness clinic and birth center. The ideal candidate will be an RN or LPN with a passion for root cause medicine, emphasizing evidence-based midwifery and proactive health care for families. This role involves patient education, treatment recommendations, and collaboration with a care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Gathering patient information by conducting physical examinations and asking questions
• Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood work or diagnostic imaging
• Making informed diagnoses based on the findings of exams and tests
• Recommending treatments to ease symptoms, manage chronic conditions or cure illnesses
• Educating patients about self-care and lifestyle changes that can contribute to the success of a treatment
• Monitoring patients' ongoing conditions and adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Supervising and coaching other members of the care team to coordinate care for patients
• Updating patient medical records and ensuring that medical information is accurate and kept private

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in nursing
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota
• Current NRP and BLS certifications (or willing to get)
• At least one year of experience as a nurse
