About the position

The Clinic Operations Coordinator at Berkeley Lab's Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) division plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of Health Services. This position involves coordinating essential tasks, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Coordinator will work closely with the Health Services Manager and Wellness Program Lead to implement various health-related programs and maintain operational efficiency, all while ensuring high customer satisfaction and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics and communication for wellness events and blood drives.
  • Support the planning and implementation of Flu and COVID clinics, including ordering vaccines and managing communication with vendors.
  • Administer the AED and First Aid programs and maintain disaster locker for Health Services.
  • Process and organize paperwork for Workers' Compensation and case management programs.
  • Manage contracts and procurement processes for Health Services, including processing invoices and maintaining Scope of Work documents.
  • Coordinate and track onboarding and offboarding tasks for staff.
  • Maintain licenses for Health Services and support accreditation efforts.
  • Manage inventory of medications and clinical supplies, including ordering and disposing of expired items.
  • Act as the point of contact for clinic vendors and manage equipment maintenance and calibration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in health services administration or program management.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in managing contracts and budgets.
  • Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and employee health wellness programs.
  • Ability to work under short deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a medical assistant or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Knowledge in industrial hygiene and occupational safety.
