About the position

The Clinic Operations Director (COD) at AdventHealth is responsible for overseeing the operations of Physician Services at Memorial Hospital. This role involves collaboration with physicians, mid-level providers, and practice managers to ensure efficient department operations, compliance with regulatory standards, and the pursuit of growth opportunities. The COD plays a key role in budget management, staff competency, and enhancing patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Implement, organize, supervise, and coordinate the operation of Physician Services.
• Assist in budget creation and oversight.
• Ensure competency of all staff and pursue growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with physician practice managers to manage efficient department operations.
• Maintain compliance with Joint Commission, state, federal, and local regulatory laws and standards.
• Review patient satisfaction scores and discuss improvement strategies with staff.
• Review monthly departmental financial statements and research variances to budget.
• Develop annual budget and adjust staffing levels based on productivity reports.
• Communicate departmental changes to lab staff through various channels.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agency standards and hospital-wide policies.
• Work with HR for staffing, selection, screening, and interviews.
• Ensure proper orientation and training of employees.
• Evaluate employees in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Nursing or Associate degree in Business Admin.
• Minimum 5 years of health care experience.
• Minimum 3 years of health care leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Business Admin.
• Physician practice experience.
• Willingness to obtain an RHC certification from the National Rural Health Association.
