About the position

The Clinic Supervisor for Primary Care at Ohio State University Physicians Community Medical Group is an entry-level supervisory role focused on supporting patient care through clinical and administrative tasks. This position involves overseeing clinic operations, managing staff, and ensuring efficient patient care delivery while fostering a culture of inclusion and compassion.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the operations of the clinic.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative and clinical operations, including medical records management, patient scheduling, and registration.
  • Verify insurance and allocate work to clinical staff.
  • Lead onsite staff, coaching and developing them to maximize clinic success.
  • Ensure exemplary attendance, punctuality, and professionalism in the clinic.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3-5 years' experience in a medical office setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between management and staff.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and managing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates' degree.
  • Working knowledge of EPIC.
  • Experience in a related specialty practice area.
  • Medical Assistant or LPN licensing and experience.
