About the position

The Clinical Account Executive (CAE) position is a key role for a pharmacist aiming to leverage their expertise in pharmacy and healthcare to achieve strategic goals for Health Plan clients. The CAE will develop and present comprehensive strategies that align with client objectives, focusing on improving clinical and financial outcomes for members. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage moderately complex client relationships effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the adoption of clinical solutions to clients through consultative sales methods.
  • Manage custom formulary management recommendation discussions with clients.
  • Partner with internal teams to manage rebate performance and meet client contractual guarantees.
  • Develop, prepare, and present healthcare strategies for assigned clients.
  • Conduct Strategic Planning and Review Consultation (SPARC) meetings with clients.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to ensure retention and satisfaction.
  • Share best practices with peers and clients regarding industry drug trends.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to adapt healthcare benefits to market trends.
  • Engage in client dialogue to build trust and credibility as a healthcare advisor.
  • Provide feedback to internal partners on new product or revenue opportunities.

Requirements

  • Current U.S. Pharmacist License
  • Minimum of 3 years of licensure experience preferred
  • 2-3 years of client-facing experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and client relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects effectively
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate proactively
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 15%.
