About the position
The Clinical and Translational Research Unit (CTRU) Data Analyst at Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine is responsible for managing and analyzing research data, particularly electronic health records (EHRs). This role involves collaborating with healthcare partners to ensure data quality and confidentiality, implementing data security measures, maintaining regulatory compliance, and developing advanced data capture tools. The analyst plays a crucial role in supporting research initiatives while ensuring the integrity and ethical handling of sensitive information.
Responsibilities
- Manage and analyze research data, ensuring quality, integrity, and confidentiality of electronic health records (EHRs) for clinical studies.
- Implement comprehensive security measures to protect sensitive research data and infrastructure.
- Conduct independent risk assessments on applications, systems, and vendors to ensure ongoing data security and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with data security protocols and support the honest broker model for data collection and de-identification.
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced data capture tools such as REDCap to facilitate data collection and research processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years of related professional experience
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Equivalent combination of experience/education may be substituted.
