About the position

The Clinical Application Analyst (Epic) role encompasses three levels (I, II, Sr) within the Information Technology department at Valley Medical Center. The position focuses on troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving IT application issues, with increasing levels of responsibility and expertise required at each level. Analysts are expected to demonstrate competence in healthcare computing environments, possess strong communication skills, and be self-directed learners. The role involves collaboration with various teams and requires a solid understanding of clinical workflows and IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, document, and resolve IT application issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide direct supervision or lead with a weekly summary of activities.
  • Document change control and system problems according to departmental procedures.
  • Advise direct supervisor of potential problems and requirements for expanded services.
  • Perform end-user functions for assigned products to a high level of competency.
  • Ensure that reports, data, and devices are appropriately secured.
  • Maintain the security of the Data Center systems and information according to privacy policies.
  • Provide after-hours support as required.
  • Manage and lead planning and completion of projects on time and as designed.
  • Build complete testing plans to validate system parameters and functionality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus one (1) year industry related experience, OR Associates degree and two (2) years related experience, OR three (3) years related experience for Level I.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 2-3 years industry related experience, OR Associates degree and four (4) years related experience, OR five (5) years related experience for Level II.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 (five) years industry related experience, OR Associates degree and eight (8) years related experience, OR ten (10) years related experience for Level Sr.
  • Demonstrated competence in analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Proven record of excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Microsoft Office plus Microsoft Visio proficiency is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications related to software applications, technology infrastructure, and/or clinical specializations.
  • Previous Epic certification preferred for Level I.
  • Current Epic proficiencies or certification required for Level II and Sr.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range from $72,750 to $156,575 annually based on experience and qualifications.
