About the position

The Clinical Application Engineer II at HonorHealth is responsible for managing and supporting technology applications, systems, and platforms, particularly focusing on the Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform. This role involves providing guidance on application software deployments, upgrades, and support plans, while also serving as a secondary point of contact for application maintenance and escalations. The engineer will work closely with project management and business analysts to document functional requirements and provide level 2 support for projects and applications. Additionally, the position requires technical expertise in HIE architecture and troubleshooting, as well as monitoring application performance and responding to outages.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support technology applications, systems, and platforms, focusing on the Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform.
  • Participate in application software deployments, upgrades, and support plans.
  • Serve as a secondary point of contact for application maintenance and escalations.
  • Work with the Project Management Office and Business Analysts to document functional requirements for new software requests and enhancements.
  • Provide level 2 support for projects and implemented applications.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and Product Owner for products/services, managing product strategy and lifecycle.
  • Monitor application performance and respond to outages, performing routine maintenance as needed.
  • Identify, isolate, and troubleshoot issues, driving the development of solutions.
  • Author and contribute to troubleshooting technical documentation and knowledgebase.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing and supporting technology applications and systems.
  • Technical expertise in Health Information Exchange (HIE) architecture and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to document functional requirements and provide level 2 support for applications.
  • Experience in software development life cycle environments and application maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive solutions for operational issues.
