About The Position

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Oral Pathology to join the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. This non-tenure track faculty position involves teaching, clinical practice, and participation in the Oral Pathology Biopsy Service, as well as engaging in research and scholarly activities. The successful candidate will also be expected to obtain an affiliate appointment in the College of Medicine's Department of Pathology.

Requirements

  • DMD/DDS or equivalent degree.
  • Completion of residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from a CODA accredited program.
  • Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.
  • Previous experience teaching and mentoring pathology residents.
  • Experience providing clinical care in pathology and oral medicine.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in diagnostic microscopic oral pathology for participation in a large Oral and Maxillofacial Biopsy service.
  • Established record of scholarly activity with peer-reviewed publications.

Responsibilities

  • Teach didactic and clinical courses to predoctoral and advanced education students.
  • Participate in the Oral Pathology Biopsy Service.
  • Engage in clinical practice and research activities.
  • Contribute to scholarly activities and service to the institution.
