About the position

The Clinical Assistant (CA) at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center plays a vital role in delivering optimal patient care services within a multidisciplinary health care team. This position emphasizes proactive team-based care and involves a variety of operational and clerical duties to support the clinical team in a Patient Centered Medical Home framework.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health care team to deliver patient care services.
• Perform day-to-day operational and clerical duties for the clinical team.
• Assist in managing care within the Patient Centered Medical Home framework.
• Support COVID Response assistance and training as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2+ years' experience working in a medical setting preferred.
• Customer Service experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Assistant preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Terminology course or training required (to be completed within 90 days of hire if not already completed).
• Current BLS/BCLS certification required (to be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already certified).
• Excellent reading, verbal, and written communication skills required.
• Proficient in word processing, navigating through the internet and email.
