The Clinical (Biomed) Engineer position at Jefferson Regional Main Hospital is a critical role that involves the maintenance, repair, and management of biomedical equipment within the healthcare setting. As a floating position, the Clinical Engineer will be required to move between different departments and facilities as needed, providing support wherever it is most required. This flexibility is crucial in a hospital environment where equipment needs can change rapidly. The engineer will collaborate closely with clinical staff to understand their needs and ensure that all equipment is available and functioning optimally. Additionally, the role may involve training staff on the proper use of medical devices and keeping detailed records of maintenance and repairs performed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both clinical and electronic engineering, with a proven track record of working with biomedical equipment. Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on medical devices according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols for medical equipment.
• Train clinical staff on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical devices.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to assess equipment needs and provide support as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience in Clinical Engineering or biomedical equipment.
• Minimum of four years experience in Electronic Engineering.
